Three steps — nothing to install

    1. Add your photos

Drag and drop HEIC or HEIF files, or tap the upload area to pick them from your device. On a phone you can select photos straight from your library.

    2. Pick the WebP quality

85% looks identical to the original for almost every photo. Drop to 70–75% for website images, where the smaller file matters more than the last bit of detail.

    3. Convert and download

Press “Convert all”, then take images one by one or the whole batch as a single ZIP archive.

    Why convert HEIC to WebP?

WebP was designed for the web and compresses photos more efficiently than JPG: at the same visual quality the file usually comes out smaller, and dramatically smaller than PNG. Pages load faster and attachments fit where they might not otherwise.

    • Usually smaller than JPG at the same quality — faster pages, lighter email.
    • Opens in every current browser, including Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
    • Keeps more detail than JPG when you push the file size down.
    • Your original HEIC file stays untouched — you only get an extra copy.

Your photos stay on your device

Your photos are converted right here in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged, and nothing is ever sent to a third-party service.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this HEIC to WebP converter free?

Yes. Conversion, batch processing and ZIP download are free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limit.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so the files never leave your device. There is no upload endpoint on this site.

    Does everything support WebP?

Every current browser displays WebP, and most editors, CMSs and messaging apps accept it. If an app still demands JPG, use the HEIC to JPG tool instead.

Can I convert HEIF files as well?

Yes. HEIC, HEIF and multi-image HEIC sequences from iPhone, iPad and some Android phones are supported; the primary image of a sequence is converted.
