Why convert HEIC to PNG?
PNG keeps every pixel of the original photo with no lossy compression, so nothing is thrown away. Choose it when quality matters more than file size.
- Lossless output: no artefacts around sharp edges, text or fine detail.
- Opens in every editor, browser and design tool on any operating system.
- Ideal before editing, cropping or printing, where repeated JPG saves would degrade the image.
- Your original HEIC file stays untouched — you only get an extra copy.
Your photos stay on your device
Your photos are converted right here in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored or logged, and nothing is ever sent to a third-party service.
Frequently asked questions
Is this HEIC to PNG converter free?
Yes. Conversion, batch processing and ZIP download are free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limit.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser, so the files never leave your device. There is no upload endpoint on this site.
Why is the PNG larger than the HEIC?
PNG stores pixels without lossy compression, so the file is bigger than a HEIC or JPG of the same photo. That size is the price of a perfect copy.
Can I convert HEIF files as well?
Yes. HEIC, HEIF and multi-image HEIC sequences from iPhone, iPad and some Android phones are supported; the primary image of a sequence is converted.
