Three steps — nothing to install

    1. Add your photos

Drag and drop your HEIC or HEIF files, or tap the upload area to pick them from your device. On a phone you can select photos straight from your library.

    2. Pick the JPG quality

85% is the right choice for most photos. Use 95–100% when you plan to print, and lower values when you need the smallest file.

    3. Convert and download

Press “Convert all”, then download images one by one or take every converted photo in a single ZIP archive.

    What is a HEIC file?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the photo format Apple uses on iPhone and iPad from iOS 11 onward. It is built on the HEIF standard and compresses images with HEVC, so the same photo usually takes 40–50% less space than JPG.

That efficiency is also the problem: Windows, older Android phones and many websites cannot open HEIC at all, so the photo has to be converted to JPG before it can be shared or printed.

    Why convert HEIC to JPG?

JPG is the most widely supported image format in the world. Converting removes every compatibility problem while keeping the photo itself unchanged.

    • Opens on Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, smart TVs and photo-printing services.
    • Attaches to email and uploads to websites, forms and job portals without errors.
    • The HEIC file on your phone stays untouched — you only get an extra copy.
    • Rotation and mirroring are preserved, so portrait photos stay upright.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

Open this page on any device, add your files and convert. There is no software to install and nothing to create an account for.

If you only need one image, convert that single file instead of the whole batch. Everything happens in this tab, so you can even use it offline once the page has loaded.

How to convert iPhone photos to JPG

    • How to convert iPhone photos to JPG

Photos taken on an iPhone are saved as HEIC by default. Add them here and download JPG copies in seconds — no app, no cable, no iCloud round trip. If you would rather shoot JPG directly, open Settings → Camera → Formats and choose “Most Compatible”.

    • How to convert HEIC on Windows

Windows 10 and 11 do not open HEIC files until you install the HEIF Image Extensions from the Microsoft Store. This page needs no extension at all: drag the files in, convert them and the downloaded JPGs open immediately in Photos, Paint or Word.

    • How to convert HEIC on Mac

macOS can convert a single photo with Preview (File → Export), but doing it for a folder is tedious. Select every HEIC file here, convert them in one pass and the JPGs land in your Downloads folder ready for Pages, Keynote or any editor.

Your photos never leave your device

The converter runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload step, no temporary server copy and no account to create.

    • No image, thumbnail or file name is transmitted, stored or logged.
    • No registration, no watermark, no email address required.
    • Thumbnails and converted files are released from memory when you clear the list or close the tab.
    • The conversion engine is downloaded only when you actually convert something.

    Frequently asked questions

Is this HEIC to JPG converter really free?

Yes. Batch conversion, quality control and ZIP download are all free with no account, no watermark and no daily limit. The only limits are per-file size and batch count, which protect your browser’s memory.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens inside your browser, so the files never leave your device. There is no upload endpoint on this site, not even a hidden one.

How many files can I convert at once?

Up to 30 images per batch, with a maximum of 50 MB per image. On phones, convert in groups of five to ten for the smoothest experience.

Does the converter keep the photo orientation?

Yes. Rotation and mirroring stored inside the HEIC container are applied while decoding, so portrait photos stay upright in the JPG.

Why is the JPG larger or smaller than the HEIC?

JPG uses older lossy compression, so file size changes with the quality you pick and the content of the photo. At 85% the difference is invisible for almost every photo; choose 100% for maximum quality when printing.

Can I convert HEIF files as well?

Yes. HEIC, HEIF and multi-image HEIC sequences from iPhone, iPad and some Android phones are supported — the primary image of a sequence is converted.

Does it work on iPhone, iPad and Android?

Yes. Any current version of Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Samsung Internet works. On mobile, tap “Choose photos” and select images from your photo library.
