One of Netflix’s biggest shows, Wednesday, is returning this year with Season 2. Unlike last season, the eight-episode series will premiere in two parts. The first half will release on August 6, while the second will conclude on September 3.

Today, at the Tudum 2025 event, makers finally revealed the big surprise in the cast of Wednesday season 2 and also shared a sneak peek into the murder madness of the show.

Wednesday first 6-minute as glimpse OUT now

Makers dropped the first 6 minutes of Wednesday season 2 part 1 and it is all that we have hoped for! Serial killers, mystery, murder, mayhem and chaos. Jenna is all set to go wild, confronting the serial killers this season with all she has. Haley Joel Osment as the doll collector was surely a happy surprise for the fans, his return to the screens has left the social media excited.

The cast also united on the Tudum stage and made the big annoucement that Lady Gaga is joining the cast and crew as a new teacher this season. Fans are super excited for the new one to drop soon as they cannot wait anymore to witness Wednesday solving all the serial killer crimes with, well murders and mayhem.

Earlier, makers dropped the teaser of Wednesday season 2 with the caption, “Back in black. From visionary Tim Burton, Wednesday Season 2 returns this summer.” The first part of the teaser includes a bit of dry humour as the dour Wednesday tries to clear airport security with her secret stash of weapons.

The second part moves to Wednesday’s boarding school as the teenager reunites with her roommate Enid (Emma Myers) and former classmate Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan).

The official synopsis for the show reads, “Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega), returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await. This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return as showrunners for the new season, which was filmed in Ireland. The season is co-directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson. Burton and star Ortega are also executive producers on the show.
