VIDA VX2 Electric Scooter Launched in India at Rs. 59,490

  • Two variants – VX2 Plus and VX2 Go
  • 3.4kWh and 2.2kWh battery packs

Hero MotoCorp has launched its latest entry-level electric scooter in India, the VIDA VX2. The scooter is available in two variants and is also offered with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) subscription model.

The two variants are VX2 Plus and VX2 Go, and both are available with the option of a subscription plan. Standalone, the VX2 Go is priced at Rs. 99,490, while the VX2 Plus costs Rs. 1.10 lakh. Under the BaaS model, the VX2 Go retails at Rs. 59,490 and the VX2 Plus is priced at Rs. 64,990. All prices are ex-showroom. The BaaS plans are based on daily running and usage patterns, and VIDA claims a running cost of Rs. 0.96 per kilometre.

The VIDA VX2 Plus comes with two removable battery packs with a capacity of 3.4kWh, offering an IDC range of 142km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the VX2 Go gets a single 2.2kWh battery pack that offers an IDC range of 92km. VIDA claims that the battery pack can be charged from 0-80 per cent in an hour with a fast charger. A bundled charger takes six hours to charge from 0-80 per cent.

The VIDA VX2 is the only scooter to get cloud connectivity with remote immobilisation. Other connectivity features include live ride data, turn-by-turn navigation, and a 4.3-inch TFT display (LCD unit on VX2 Go).

The VIDA VX2 sports a modern yet familiar look, with seven colour options. It gets a 33.2-litre underseat storage for the VX2 Go variant, which is claimed to fit a full-face helmet. Stay tuned to BikeWale for the first ride review of the VIDA VX2.
