A Living Atlas is an informatics infrastructure that aggregates biodiversity data from multiple sources and makes it freely available and usable online. It is based on the Atlas of Living Australia platform and since 2014 has been adopted by numerous GBIF nodes and other organizations to support integrated access and use of their national biological and environmental information.
This video tutorial shows how to search, refine and download biodiversity data from a Living Atlas. It also shows the structure of a Living Atlas and the capability of reusing the users’ searches.
