The partial award, delivered by a 2:1 majority, also includes simple interest of 5.33% per annum from November 30, 2020, until the date of payment. In addition, Tata Power has been ordered to pay $8.29 million in legal costs, with the same interest rate applicable from July 1, 2025.
The arbitration was initiated by Kleros in November 2020. Oral hearings concluded in February 2024, and the award was delivered to Tata Power after market hours on July 1, 2025. The company said it is currently reviewing the contents of the award and evaluating all available legal options, including a potential challenge.

Tata Power Q4 Earnings
In Q4 FY25, Tata Power reported a 24% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,306 crore, compared to Rs 1,045.6 crore in the same period last year. Revenue rose 7.9% YoY to Rs 17,096 crore.
EBITDA surged 39.2% to Rs 3,245.4 crore, with operating margins expanding to 19% from 14.7% a year ago, reflecting improved operational efficiency.
Tata Power Share Price Target
According to Trendlyne, the average target price for Tata Power shares is Rs 420, implying a 3% upside from current levels. Of the 23 analysts covering the stock, the consensus rating is ‘Buy’.
The stock’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 57.3, indicating neutral momentum. It is trading above its 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day simple moving averages — a sign of continued strength.
Tata Power shares have gained 4% so far in 2025 and are up 83% over the past two years. The company currently has a market capitalisation of Rs 1,29,874 crore.
