Air India flight faces technical snag
Two days back on Tuesday, a technical snag caused Air India’s passengers to wait for several hours at Delhi airport, TOI reported. The Bhubaneswar-bound flight AI-2489 was scheduled to depart from Delhi’s IGI Airport at 5:45 pm. Among the passengers stranded for several hours were Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and noted gastroenterologist Dr Subrat Acharya.
Passengers were allowed to board the aircraft after a long wait, only to be disembarked later. Due to a technical issue, the flight was grounded and many passengers remained at Terminal 3’s departure gate 32A into the early hours of Wednesday without any confirmation about a revised departure time or an alternate flight.
Another Air India flight from San Francisco to Mumbai encountered a technical snag in one of its engines on the same day. Flight AI180 landed on time at 12:45 am at its scheduled stop at Kolkata airport, but its onward journey to Mumbai was delayed.
