NEW DELHI: An Air India Express flight from Kolkata to Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad was delayed on Sunday after a technical issue was detected, news agency ANI reported.Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, released a short statement confirming the delay and apologised for the inconvenience faced by passengers.

“Our Kolkata – Hindon flight operated, with a delay, due to a snag on the originally assigned aircraft. Guests were offered complimentary rescheduling or cancellation with a full refund. We regret the inconvenience,” an Air India Express spokesperson said.An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members crashed into a medical college complex shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday, June 12, afternoon.The airline has confirmed that 241 people on board flight AI171 have died, except for one passenger who survived.
