Princeton, Rutgers, NJIT among best global schools: US News rankings

Bragging rights are in order at seven New Jersey higher education institutions.

U.S. News and World Report has revealed the its Best Global Universities for 2025.

The multifaceted digital media company annual evaluation of institutions from the U.S. and more than 100 countries were ranked on 13 indicators that measure academic research performance, and global and regional reputations.

“Students can use these rankings to explore the higher education options that exist beyond their own countries’ borders and to compare key aspects of schools’ research missions,” according to U.S. News.

The Garden State’s popular Ivy League institution, Princeton University, moved up two spots on the list, landing in the top 20 and shares 16th place with Cornell University, University of Toronto and the University of California San Francisco.
