Over 1.17L students clear entrance test for BEd, BHEd, MEd seats | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: The higher education department on Friday published the entrance test results for admission into two-year BEd, BHEd and MEd courses for the current academic session. As many as 1,17,933 students appeared for the entrance exam for 2,750 BEd, BHEd and MEd seats offered by 31 educational institutes.Official sources said 1,29,712 students applied to appear for the entrance exam. Out of these, 11,779 students did not appear for the exam. “Each student who appeared for the entrance exam received a test score, which will function as a rank,” said an official.The department also issued a timeline and guidelines for admission into these courses on Friday. Students will lock their choices for their favourite institutes between June 13 and 19. First-year classes for all three courses will start on July 24.Provisional allotment of seats for the first round selection will be published on June 25. Admission will be conducted from June 26 to July 1. Allotment of seats for the second round selection will be published on July 7 and admission will be conducted from July 8 to 11. Allotment of seats for the third round will be published on July 17 and admission will be conducted from July 18 to 22.The merit list among the reported waitlisted applicants will be announced on Aug 4.
