Several areas across Nagpur will experience staggered power outages on Wednesday, as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) undertakes pre-monsoon maintenance work in Congress Nagar, Civil Lines, Mahal, Gandhibagh, and Butibori divisions.
The scheduled shutdowns will take place during the morning hours, with maintenance teams carrying out essential repair and upkeep work on various 11 KV power lines.
In Congress Nagar Division, power will be unavailable from 8 AM to 10 AM in the BSNL office area connected to the Apna Bazar feeder, Tekdi Ganesh, Tekdi Line, Air Force area, Machhi Bazar, Prashant Nagar, Samarth Nagar, Chunabhatti, FCI Godown, Juni Ajni, Ambika Nagar, Jai Colony, and Sinchan Colony.
On the Hindustan Colony line, areas like Annabhau Sathe Nagar, Chichbhavan, Rai Imperial, and Orchid Society will face outages from 8 AM to 11 AM. Other affected areas during this time include Karvenagar, Ujjwalnagar, Savitrinagar, Shriramnagar, Pavanbhoomi, Cosmopolitan (Kachore Patil Channel), Ensara City, Rachna Mithila, Gagan City, Atharva Nagari sectors 4 and 7, and Pipla village (Ensara Channel). Sitabuldi and nearby locations will also be affected on the Buldi line.
Additional shutdowns will affect:
- Saraf Court channel (Yashwant Stadium, Dhantoli): 8 AM to 9 AM
- Telecom Nagar channel (Telecom Nagar, Swavalambi Nagar, Friends Colony, etc.): 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- London Street feeder (Agne Layout, Sujata Layout, parts of Deendayal Nagar and Deviprabha): 8 AM to 11 AM
- Trimurti Nagar line (Survenagar, MIG/LIG Colony, Azad Hind Nagar, etc.): 8 AM to 11 AM
- Gayatrinagar line (Gayatrinagar, Parsodi, Srinagar, etc.): 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Atre Layout (Dhangarpura, CFC Centre, Shivneri April): 7 AM to 11 AM
In Civil Lines Division, areas under the Akar Nagar feeder—including Swami Colony phases 1 and 2, Prerna Nagar, Ganga Nagar, and CMPDI Colony—will face power cuts between 8 AM and 11 AM. Sai Mandir on the Clark Town 1 line will experience an outage from 8 AM to 10 AM. Other areas like Mecosabag, Kamal Chowk (Nara feeder), Chaudhary Layout (Jafarnagar line), and colonies along the Telangkhedi line will also be affected at different times from 8 AM to 3 PM.
In Mahal Division, outages from 9 AM to 11 AM will impact Madhuban Society, Narendra Nagar, PMG Society, and areas under the Diamondnagar and Tulshibagh lines including Kamgar Nagar and Juni Shukravari.
In Gandhibagh Division, power will be disrupted in areas like Deputy Signal, Bazar Chowk (Kawrapeth line), Janaki Nagar (Minimata Nagar line), and Mehndibagh from 8:30 AM to 12 Noon.
Finally, in Butibori Division, the shutdown will affect lines no. 9 and 11 of the MIDC substation and the Food Park feeder from 10 AM to 1 PM.
Residents are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions during the planned power interruptions.
