Amarpur, Tripura, 5th of July 2025 : The shivling that had been established by Jamatia Hoda on the top most peak of Betlingchhip mountain on Jampui hill, Kanchanpur hundreds years back became a heap of ruin by some unknown miscreants.
As per the local report, some irreligious, uncivilized miscreants have destroyed the Shivling in last month, in June 2025 and nothing left there where villagers used to worship Lord Shiva since hundreds of years back. The place was a perfect devotional area for pilgrimage where devotees and villagers used to worship lord Shiva here on this top most peak of Betlingchhip moutain in last several centuries. After availing information regarding this shrine destruction MLA Ram Pada Jamatia has rushed to the spot and observed everything that was unexpected to be happened. To see the Shivling ruin MLA was shocked and expressed deep grievance on this direction attack to religion faith of the disciples of Lord Shiva.
Hon’ble MLA has drawn the attention of the administration; he appealed CM Dr. Manik Saha to give concentration over this older shrine, the popular holy spot for pilgrimage. He expressed the essentiality of this pilgrimage peak to renovate it. He said, “To accelerate the faith of Hinduism over Lord Shiva initiative should be taken by the government with possible capabilities to promote this holy place of pilgrimage where devotees can visit it and worship Lord Shive to obtain his grace for their family welfare.”
