Major blow to England as batter out of international summer

Former England Women’s captain Heather Knight has been ruled out of the upcoming international summer and The Hundred 2025 due to a significant tendon injury in her right hamstring.

An MRI scan confirmed the extent of the injury, which will sideline the experienced batter through the summer of cricket for England. Knight will now undergo further assessment with the England Women’s medical team to determine the appropriate course of treatment and rehabilitation.

Knight aggravated her troublesome hamstring while batting in the final match of the T20I series against the West Indies, which England clinched 3-0.
