Families from across the area came together for an evening of fun and community at the Carbon County Children’s Justice Center’s annual Family Kite Event, held June 12 at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
The event, a beloved summer tradition, offered free kites and frisbees to all attendees, encouraging families to enjoy the warm weather and open space together. Alongside the outdoor fun, guests were treated to hot dogs, chips, drinks and even cotton candy, all at no cost.
A highlight of the evening was Pebbles the Clown, a crowd favorite, who brought plenty of smiles with face painting and balloon animals for the kids.
Parents and children alike could be seen flying their colorful kites, tossing frisbees and enjoying food under the early summer sky.
Organizers say they hope events like this help strengthen family bonds and promote positive community connections while having a little fun.
“Special thanks to Party Express for discounting the cotton candy rental. And a big thanks to Pebble the Clown for discounting her services and joining the fun,” stated Kate Johnson.
