TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a raid on Liverpool for one of their star players.
Jurgen Klopp’s near-decade at Liverpool marked a transformative and successful era in the club’s history.
The German coach brought the Merseyside club back to the pinnacle of both English and European football, cementing his place as a legendary figure at Anfield.
Klopp bid farewell to the club last year, moving on to a new chapter as the Head of Global Football at Red Bull.
But he continues to keep a close eye on his former club’s happenings on and off the pitch. He is now said to be pushing for a move for one of the players he managed at Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp wants to sign Liverpool star Harvey Elliott at RB Leipzig
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Klopp is keen to be reunited with Harvey Elliott and is ready to raid his former club for the England attacker.
Elliott is ready to leave Anfield this summer as he knows his first-team chances are not going to improve with the arrival of Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool are open to selling Elliott but are seeking more than £40m for their ‘sensational‘ star.
Sources confirm that nearly half the Premier League have enquired about Elliott this summer – including his former club Fulham, Tottenham, Newcastle, Everton, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leeds, Brentford and West Ham, all of whom are closely monitoring his situation.

But there is interest from abroad as well, the latest coming from RB Leipzig. TBR Football understands that Klopp and Leipzig are very much in the hunt for his signature.
Elliott is seen as a potential replacement for Xavi Simons at Leipzig, with Klopp a strong admirer of his talent. According to sources, a move to the Bundesliga club does appeal to the Liverpool midfielder as well.
Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have also shown an interest in Germany, whilst there are clubs in Spain and Italy keen on Elliott, who has been England’s star performer at this summer’s European Championships.
Harvey Elliott continues to shine for England U21s
While Elliott’s club future is uncertain, his strong international form has been a highlight. He has been one of England’s standout players at the U21 European Championships this summer.
He scored twice in the 2–1 semi-final win over the Netherlands, including a stunning solo goal.
He was also on the scoresheet in the 3–1 quarter-final victory over Spain, totalling four goals in the tournament, playing a key role in taking his country to the finals of the tournament.
His incredible form for the England U21s is only likely to increase his value ahead of a potential summer move.
Liverpool fans will hope that any deal to sell him includes a buy-back clause, given his outstanding talent.
