A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can use the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to receive only real messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox easily in case you’ve got a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet astonishingly user-friendly, and it will enable you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one of them you’ll notice a mini "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox without effort even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already configured a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you do not need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
