It was graduation weekend at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and some famous faces were there for the ceremony.
Often the celebrity you see at a local college or university graduation is the commencement speaker, like when Jennifer Coolidge spoke to undergraduates at Emerson College this year.
Yet for Rhode Island’s Ivy League University, the famous faces were in the audience.
This past weekend Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were back in Rhode Island’s capitol city to celebrate their youngest child’s college graduation.
Carys Zeta Douglas wrapped up her four years at Brown by receiving her degree in Film and International Relations on Sunday. If her parents’ social media accounts are any indication, they clearly couldn’t be prouder.
The pair were in town most of the weekend celebrating with photos, dinners and of course the ceremony itself. It wasn’t the first time the celebrity pair had been to a Brown University graduation either. Their son, Dylan Michael Douglas, graduated from the same school in 2022 with a degree in political science.

Seems having your youngest (and only daughter) leave university is a little more emotional for Douglas however, since for this graduation he shared a lengthy video or highlights from before the big event.
I personally love Douglas singing to Carys as she walks down the street to the ceremony, a moment that proves even celebrity dads are mildly embarrassing to their daughters.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas always seemed to enjoy their visits to the Ocean State over the years, so here’s hoping they return at some point even though their kids are done with school here.
