The UEFA Champions League spotlight now move to Munich’s Allianz Arena, as PSG and Inter Milan lock horns for Europe’s biggest prize on May 31.
The final promises to be a genuine clashes of styles and storylines as PSG’s free-flowing attack comes up against a well-drilled ruthless Serie A unit.
For Luis Enrique’s PSG, it’s a shot at redemption and the chance for history, after they came so close to a first-ever UCL title in 2020 – losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich in the final.
Meanwhile for Inter, it’s an opportunity to bag their fourth crown in the competition, and erase the memory of their 2023 defeat to Manchester City in a seventh final appearance.
PSG have swept aside Premier League giants Liverpool, Arsenal, and Aston Villa en route to the final and their domestic season has already included three trophies.
The French champions have already retained their Ligue 1 title and lifted the Coupe de France and Trophee des Champions.

However, they will face a real challenge in Munich – up against an Inter Milan side which kept seven clean sheets in eight league phase games.
Virgil van Dijk was left in awe of PSG’s quality and style
Former UCL winner Virgil van Dijk has offered glowing praise for PSG ahead of the final with Inter Milan.
The Dutch defender, who was part of Liverpool’s 2019 UCL-winning squad, faced Luis Enrique’s side in this season’s Round of 16, as PSG overturned Liverpool’s narrow first-leg lead to win the tie on penalties.
“I was very impressed by PSG’s style of play, the individual quality of their players, and the effort they put in,” Van Dijk told L’Équipe [via GOAL France].
“It was quite surprising that we won, given how much they dominated us – but that’s football.”
Van Dijk’s observation mirrors the growing admiration for the French side across Europe.
PSG have scored 33 goals in the competition so far in 2024/25 and they lead the tournament in shots on target and big chances created.
Luis Enrique is aiming to become just the second coach in history to win trebles with two clubs alongside Pep Guardiola. With his squad peaking at the right time, Inter could have their hands full at the Allianz Arena.
