Barcelona’s plan for Roony Bardghji revealed as wonderkid closes in on move

Barcelona are expected to sign Roony Bardghji from FC Copenhagen this summer in something of a surprise move.

The club look set to snap up Bardghji for around €2.5 million and will also include a clause that means they have 15% of any future sale.

So what now for Bardghji? At 19 he’s still very raw and missed a lot of playing time last season with a serious knee injury. He also prefers to play on the right of the attack where a certain Lamine Yamal plys his trade for Barcelona.

According to ESPN, Barcelona see “Bardghji as a talent for the future” and the current plan is for him to train with the first team but play matches for Barcelona Atletic as he settles into life at Catalunya.

Juliano Belletti will take charge of Barca Atletico next season and will be tasked with overseeing his developement initially.

The report also states there’s also a chance that Bardghji could be included on Barca’s pre-season tour of Asia with the first team. Such a move would allow Hansi Flick to get to know the new signing a little better.

Flick is expected to take a check on several Barca youngsters on the pre-season tour and it looks as though Bardghj could be invited along, too.
