Kick-off is set for 13:00 BST (20:00 local time), in the second of the Reds’ two post-season tour games in south-east Asia.
Despite a disappointing defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars at Malaysia’s Bukit Jalil Stadium on Wednesday, Ruben Amorim is confident fans will be out in force to support the team, on our first visit since 2013.
“If you can afford it – that is the important thing – then you support your club,” said Amorim. “I have my club as a young kid in Portugal. No matter what the situation was, I was there – and I suffered a lot, in Benfica in the ‘90s.
“It was a struggle, a lot, but I never stopped buying tickets and [for] my father it was a gift in my birthday.
“So it’s going to be the same [in Hong Kong]. These people believe in Manchester United, no matter what the context. It’s our job, it’s our duty to improve the team and to improve the next season.”
