Nazim Sadykhov vs. Nikolas Motta squared off in a Lightweight contest earlier tonight (Sat. June 21, 2025) live on ABC inside Baku Crystal Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. In an absolutely tremendous bout, Sadykhov scored a brutal-second round knockout.
After seven straight bouts ended in decisions to start the card, fight fans were desperate for a finish. Thankfully, both Sadykhov and Motta were happy to provide the violene, finally affording the judges their much-needed bathroom break.
Sadykhov started off the bout with a display of speed and fluidity, touching his opponent at distance. Motta shook off some punches then returned the favor, hurting Sadykhov badly with a body shot. Sadykhov kept his guard high, but he nearly collapsed under an onslaught of follow up strikes. He weathered the storm and fired right back, teeing off on a tired Motta to finish off one of the year’s best rounds.
The action remained high into the second, both looking a bit rejuvenated after a minute of rest. By now, Sadykhov was really flowing, building beautiful combinations of punches, left kicks, knees, and elbows. A Sadykhov elbow split his foe open, and he really started to build a numbers advantage by finding holes in the guard.
Motta is insanely tough and kept smiling through shots, but the damage was really adding up. Near the end of the round, a hook finally floored Motta, allowing for a barrage of punches to seal the deal. The crowd EXPLODED!
