Bruno Gustavo da Silva vs Joshua Van prediction

Bruno Gustavo da Silva (14-6-2 with one no contest) is coming off a TKO loss at the hands of the impressive Manel Kapel but prior to that, he was on fire. He won his previous four fights with three knockouts and one submission and the talented Brazilian earned four successive Performance of the Night awards.

Joshua Van (13-2) will only have three months between fights as he met and beat Rei Tsuruya at UFC 313. He was scheduled initially to meet Bruno Gustavo da Silva on that card but the Brazilian withdrew due to injury so Van remained active and it paid off.

Activity is Van’s middle name as he fought four times in 2024. Other than a loss last July to Charles Johnson, he has won all his fights in the UFC with five decision wins and one TKO.

His power has not been quite to evident in the UFC but that has not stopped him. His opponent does have the edge in power quite clearly here but Van should be able to edge the wrestling and Octagon control.

The Brazilian is always dangerous but we expect Van to stay out of danger and control this fight. A win via the judges’ scorecards for Van is our pick in this one.

Prediction: Joshua Van to win by decision
