Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Carlo Ancelotti and Duncan Ferguson have all confessed their love for £45m Everton target

Everton have already completed their first signing of the summer transfer window.

David Moyes has made Carlos Alcaraz his first addition after deciding to make his loan move a permanent deal.

Everton are now turning their attention to attacking targets, with Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade heavily linked with a move to Goodison Park.

The Toffees are also looking at Villarreal’s Thierno Barry, who actually outscored Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal in La Liga last season.

For months, there’s been widespread speculation around one particular target, and past and present Everton figures have already given their seal of approval on any forthcoming transfer.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Duncan Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti, Frank Lampard and more have confessed their love for Everton target Richarlison

Everton have been linked with a move to sign Richarlison for months now, and the Tottenham Hotspur forward is expected to leave the capital this summer.

The Toffees enjoyed four years of his service on Merseyside between 2018-2022, and he became a real fan favourite.

Pretty much everyone who worked with Richarlison at Goodison Park has publicly confessed their love for him.

Carlo Ancelotti once said: “He is a modern and complete forward, not very sharp on his feet but coordinated and with great synchronisation in the area. He is also strong with his head, although he is not a giant. For me, he is among the best forwards.’”

“I thoroughly enjoyed playing with Richy, I miss playing with Richy. We had a good partnership really,” Dominic Calvert-Lewin recently explained.

Duncan Ferguson even tipped him to win the Golden Boot at the 2022 World Cup: “Ronaldo, Messi, Lewandowski, Harry Kane and Mbappe. They’re the ones who will light up the tournament I think, and I think the Golden Boot will come from one of those. But I have a sneaky feeling about Richarlison for Brazil, they play him at centre-forward and I think he could do something for them.”

Seamus Coleman stated: “He put in a hell of a shift for the club. When he scores a couple goals you’re delighted for him because he’s not just one of them that will hang around and be happy with two goals, he works extremely hard for the lads.”

“With Richy I think and I know that he understands what my feelings about him are,” Frank Lampard confessed. “I think he is a fantastic, huge talent, with a work ethic which is the reason why Everton fans are so drawn to him. The way he fights – he is a really tough boy – and some of that is due to his make-up and upbringing. It is a pleasure to work with him.”

Marco Silva previously said:”Richarlison is a fantastic football player and he gives everything for us,” said Silva. “He fights and enjoys the game. But it is not just him. For us to play well and score goals we need to do big work.”

“Richarlison is a bit like me,” former Everton winger Bernard admitted. “He is quite discreet day-to-day at the training ground. He jokes and relaxes. He’s quite a quiet person and listens a lot to those around him. He’s a great guy and an exceptional player. He’s a really good person, he’s got a massive heart and he really looks to help people.”

Michael Keane hailed the now Spurs frontman: “He is a class player, you could see that from his first day on the training ground. He is two footed and direct and works really hard for the team. He has a bit of everything. From what the lads [who directly face Richarlison in training] say, he is tough, because he is strong on the ball as well. He is not someone you can easily brush off it. He has the tricks and is fast. He has everything, so he can be as good as he wants to be.”

Tottenham Hotspur demanding £40-45m to sell Richarlison this summer

Richarlison arrived at Tottenham with great fanfare during the 2022 summer transfer window, but for whatever reason, it just hasn’t worked out.

The Brazil international has netted just 20 goals across his three seasons at the club and has been made surplus to requirements by Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs are willing to sanction Richarlison’s sale for a fee in the region of £45m, which could be problematic for Everton, considering he’s on substantial wages, too.

Capology understands the 28-year-old earns around £90,000-a-week, so it’d take a big financial commitment to strike a deal.
