First Lucknow-Mumbai AC Sleeper Vande Bharat route finalised

After months of extensive surveys, railway officials have finalised the route for the upcoming Sleeper Vande Bharat Express. The train will begin its journey from Lucknow and travel via Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly Junction, Rampur, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Agra before reaching Mumbai.

Operating four days a week, the train will feature 20 fully air-conditioned coaches including First, Second, and Third AC classes, along with two SLR coaches, accommodating around 1,200 passengers. The official timetable is expected in June, with services likely to commence by July.

This new route is a major boost for several districts across Uttar Pradesh, particularly for daily and frequent commuters to Mumbai. With existing trains like the Bareilly Lokmanya Tilak Express and Ramnagar-Bandra Express often running full, the Sleeper Vande Bharat promises a much-needed alternative. Offering enhanced speed, comfort, and reliability, this new service is set to redefine long-distance train travel for thousands.
